The Greene County girls basketball team saw the court twice last week, falling to both opponents, West Marshall and Kuemper Catholic.
On Tuesday, the Rams traveled to West Marshall High School in State Center, falling 74-16. The Trojans, undefeated this season, led throughout the game, leading 43-13 at the half. They continued their dominance throughout the game, holding Greene County to just three points in the third quarter and scoreless in the fourth.
Kaycee Pittman led the Rams in points for the game, scoring five off of a three-pointer and two free throws. Kamryn Sanders scored four points in the game with Emma Shipley adding three points to the board. As a team, the Rams had five offensive and 20 defensive rebounds, three steals and 28 turnovers.
The Rams were humbled by the Kuemper Knights on Saturday, scoring just six points in the game while the opposing team ran away to 61 points. Alexa Peters, Ashlynn Hinners and Pittman scored two points each.
The team made two of 25 shots from the floor and two of four free throws. The Rams turned the ball over 38 times.
